We spent The Fourth in Ma and Pa's cabin at Lake Lure, nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina.
Next to the cabin is a winding path down to a shallow stream. We brought two of our dogs - Kelsie and Oscar, and they enjoyed wading in the water.
We were staying near the Rumbling Bald Resort, so we dined there for the evening, whilst looking at this view.
After dinner, we went on a sunset boat ride. Where we saw the stairs from the movie Dirty Dancing.
We also had our summer pictures taken, which I'll share throughout this post.
The next morning the cows were grazing the meadows in front of the cabin. Up in the high elevation of the mountains you could see the morning haze which was a respite from the heat until midday.
Before we left, we drove around the lake to the Flowering Bridge.
Then we headed home sweet home.
How was your Fourth, my dears?

Enjoyed your post. The Blueridge mountains are beautiful. We have rented cabins there over the years and so enjoyed the peacefulness. Enjoyed the pictures and looks like you had a great photo shoot. Visiting from Coastal Charm today. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
