On Saturday, it was the 2nd anniversary since we settled here in the Carolinas.
So we commissioned one of my husband's cousins, Rachael to watercolor our home. We have really enjoyed living in our small town, a few minutes away from Charlotte.
Our Weekend
On Friday, I spent the day housekeeping, and putting out some of our Spring décor. I also arranged some flowers for our powder bathroom vanity, our kitchen sink, and kitchen island. It's the simple things, that make our home, sweet home.
That evening, I had to get out the house, so we went to Sonny's where I had my favorite - barbeque chicken salad. My hubby got his wings.
One of our weekend traditions, is to do brunch. On Saturday, we were the first ones in the door when Bravo opened it's doors. Afterwards, we ventured to Pikes Family Nursery. It felt like Spring walking through the doors and seeing all the flowers blooming. I got some onion bulbs, kale, and some white pansies. I'm looking forward to getting back outside, and gardening soon.
On Sunday, after worship we went to The Gallery for brunch.
We discussed our walk in pantry and wet room project. When we got home I started getting boxes from the garage and unpacking. Afterwards, we took a trip to Goodwill to donate, and I ventured inside to see if anyone else's trash would be my treasure. Well I found a real silver tray and a ceramic pot with cherubs on the side. My granny used to collect cherubs - so it reminded me of her.

Later that evening, I made roast chicken for dinner - so delicious. We saved the rest, to make White Chicken Chili the next day.
Roast Chicken, Herb Stuffing, Cauliflower and Carrots. |
Tonight, we're going on a date night into the city. My hubby has dinner reservations and we're going to see the Broadway play the Book of Mormon. I'll let you know how it goes.
