A Walk Around Birkdale Village

Yesterday, we made a trip to Huntersville, North Carolina which is about 40 minutes away from us. While there we went to a place called Birkdale Village. It's a residential and commercial community that has a coastal town charm.

During the year they do a lot of parades and events here, I could picture all the decorations in my mind as we wondered down the walkway. I especially liked all the details, like the lamps and the fountain and the varying architectural styles of the buildings.

It had been raining earlier in the day so it was a little damp, but it's a delight as there are so many tulips blooming.

There were a lot of stores there, one of our favorites was called Nothing Bundt Cakes, they had samples and we bought two little bundt cakes to bring home for dessert. Next time we might take them with us to Starbucks and get a coffee and stay a little longer.
