Family-Filled Thanksgiving and Early Christmas Part One

Good afternoon my dears, how are you?

We had a family-filled Thanksgiving and Early Christmas break.

Monday, November 21st

My mum and sister flew across the pond from England for a ten day visit.

The Smith Girls.

Tuesday, November 22nd

On the day after they arrived we made the three-and-a-half hour journey from Charlotte, NC to Charleston, SC

We checked into our hotel, The Mills House on Meeting Street. Our rooms were 202, and 619. The hotel was built in 1853 and stayed at by President Theodore Roosevelt.

- My mum, sister, and I outside the Nathaniel Russell House -

- In the gardens at the Nathaniel Russell House -

Can we take a moment to talk about the weather? We had Carolina blue skies, and 70 degree weather. It felt more like early September, than late November. If you've been following the news recently, you'll know we've had little to no rain for over a month, and sadly, those in living in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee have had fires. That's how unseasonably warm it's been down South.

- Dinner at Magnolias with my mum, sister, and forever date -

I had the shrimp and grits and it was delish!

After dinner we walked back to our hotel, our home sweet home for the next two nights.

Then it was time to say goodnight to all, and to all a goodnight.
