Good afternoon my dears,
Last weekend, we drove about 30 minutes north to the tranquil waters of Lake Norman. The lake is the largest man-made body of fresh water in North Carolina. It's where rich and famous people like Michael Jordan, live and play.
Firstly, we went to the trendy, hipster, 20's and 30's something hangout, Hello Sailor. Cory had the baby back ribs and calabash shrimp and I had the avocado toast. The restaurant is decorated in a 1970's Mad-Men style with views overlooking the marina.
After an early dinner we went for a stroll along the dock. Marinas bring back a lot of nostalgic memories for me, as I spent many summers out on the lakes in Washington state in my dad's boat, I even have a Washington boat license somewhere.

We made fast friends with this duck.
Later that evening, we drove along Nantz Road and Serenity Point Lane, to go take a sneaky peek at some of the homes near Ramsey Creek Park. This timeless southern colonial looks as if its been here for hundreds of years, but was built in 2016 by Cornelius town commissioner, John Bradford III and his wife, Shea.

A glimpse of our day in Lake Norman.
Thank you for stopping by.

I saw your comment on Staceys Poofing The Pillows facebook page and had to come over! I was in Cornelius last Saturday! We live a couple of hours from there and were interested in possibly moving to a condo on the lake down the road....but the area was too busy for us.
How fun!! You two do some really neat things together. I would probably be running into mailboxes and poles while staring at all of those houses.
Beautiful memories for you and Cory. Summer is flying by,I can not believe it will be August 1st on Thursday.
